Our History - AVP Kicks
It all started in May 2020, the Air Jordan 1 has always been something that represented the sneaker market and culture in the resell market. At the time, the goal was to be able to buy a pair so I could use and appreciate what Nike and Michael Jordan built in 1985.
Resell exists because demand is greater than supply. With each new release that Nike made, stock was scarce, the probability of getting an exclusive pair was very small. Thousands of sneakers are launched, in return for millions of people trying to buy the same pair.

It became a daily objective to understand how to build and create a sneaker store to elevate the sneaker resell culture in Portugal and, above all, provide everyone with the opportunity to acquire the exclusive and 100% authentic pairs they always wanted.
At the end of the 1st year, in 2020, I managed to acquire 15 pairs. At this time, Covid-19 was something common in the world's daily lives, and the resell market was at the top of the mountain, with an approximate value of 6 billion dollars.
In January 2021 everything changed, the " AVP Kicks Store " was created, and the hobby became a profession. I had spent the last few months intensively studying the market, making contacts, sales sources and using new ways to acquire more pairs, I was finally ready to expand.
On Instagram we opened a page where we showed and shared all the pairs we had managed to acquire to sell, @avp.kicks .
With some sales previously made to friendly customers, it quickly became something bigger and bigger, we had more and more satisfied customers and new customers looking for what we had to offer, exclusive sneakers at the most competitive prices . At the end of 2021, the total number of pairs purchased was 100.

In 2022 we took a leap. It was a year of growth and overcoming obstacles, once again successful compared to the previous year, 210 pairs were purchased. We achieved more stock, greater sales, new partnerships with influencers and new recognition of our brand through business cards and stickers.
Last year, 2023, was the year of the " boom ". More than 650 products purchased and more than 550 sales completed in a single year, both to customers, resellers and various stores around the world. It was without a doubt the store's best year so far, thanks to our customers.
In 2023 we had 2 major objectives, a complete remodeling of our warehouse and the creation of our website .
One of our most important objectives was to have a larger and more organized space, as with more and more stock arriving and more orders, it was no longer possible to manage everything in the state our warehouse was in, it had to be remodeled. total.

Towards the end of the year, we decided it was time to expand and make the store even bigger. We successfully completed this great objective, the creation of this website .
We hope that this year, 2024, will be the best yet, but in the end what counts is our willpower and ambition to become the best as a store and as people.
